Anne Hathaway Wore a Face Shield and Dior Mary Janes on Set for WeCrashed

Publish date: 2024-06-20

No one is shocked by a face mask anymore. Masks have been commonplace in parts of the world for years, and since March 2020, it's more than likely you've stocked them in your own home and worn them in public. What's less common, though, is a face shield.

On set for her upcoming miniseries WeCrashed, Anne Hathaway was spotted wearing a face shield in a way that was even more surprising than usual. The COVID accessory appeared to attach around the neck rather than at the crown of the head (which has been the more common style), and further, it was covered entirely with stickers. Paired with her dark-tinted sunglasses, we have to wonder whether she could see where she was walking at all.

With shoes like those, though, it's doesn't really matter where you're going. Her Christian Dior D-Doll Pumps perfectly embody the resurgent Mary Jane trend that's taking over footwear. The late summer-early fall shoe is the perfect transitional piece, bringing closed toes back into our wardrobes while still letting a breeze through.

While Hathaway's exact Mary Janes cost nearly $1,000, dead ringers for the trend can be found for as little as $17 on Amazon. Shop the look below.
