Biography:

Cameron Monaghan was born on August 16, 1993 in Santa Monica, California, USA. He started acting on stage productions when he was younger. He made his professional acting debut in the 2002 movie The Wishing Stone. The following year, he gained notice for starring in the TV movie The Music Man. He next appeared as Chad in six episodes of Malcolm in the Middle.

He has since guest starred on various TV shows, such as on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Criminal Minds, and The Mentalist, among others. He’s also appeared in the films Click, The Three Investigators and the Secret of Skeleton Island, and Dog Gone. In 2011, he started playing Ian Gallagher on the comedy-drama series Shameless, which has since earned him mainstream fame. He’s also recently played Jerome Valeska on Gotham.
