Publish date: 2024-06-17

Let's start with the one with the impossibly sized two-bedroom apartments across the hall from one another from "Friends."

Have you ever noticed that All in the Family and Mama's Family have the same basic set?

So did One Day at a Time and Good Times.

Will and Grace's, and the apt. across the hall (Grace's, Jack's depending on episode).

Edina's Ab Fab layout makes no sense whatsover, when she gets drunk and falls into to the rose garden in the first episode she magically appears in the kitchen basement window on the other side of the house moments later, also no house in Holland Park would have a waste of space 20 sqft closet and powder room right off the main like that.

Wasn't there a back entrance to the kitchen in the Golden Girls' house?

The Will & Grace one isn't right. There was the episode where they knocked both bathrooms into one big bathroom so the two bathrooms has a common wall.

R9 is right. There was a back entrance in the back right of the kitchen, along the same wall as the sink. I'm not sure if it led to the garage (which wouldn't make sense thinking of the outside shot of the house...) or the hallway to the bedrooms though, because sometimes they're seen grabbing their keys and exiting that way. Also, wasn't Blanche's bedroom off the same hallway as the other ladies'?

These floor plans aren't from the tv shows and the writers would sometimes be inconsistent with floor plan layouts. Frasier's apartment for quite a while did not have a laundry room with Daphne making trips to the elevator to go to the common laundry. Once they established a laundry in the apartment Daphne would come with laundry baskets from the direction of Frasier's bedroom not the area shown on this layout.

What about Karen Walker’s mansion? With its gift wrapping room, meat locker, liquor and prescription storage, Rosario’s shoebox quarters—and wherever Anastasia has her beaverhausen flushed out.

In the intro of "All in the Family" shows house with front door and two windows on each side. The studio set has the Bunkers living in a house with front porch.

Everyday people stand at Bedford and Grove streets in the West Village to have their picture taken in front of the building used as the exterior of "Friends." Most of them think the show was shot there and restaurant at the corner was Centrak Perks.

The Will & Grace floor plan seems off to me.

I never noticed that bathroom off of the living room before.

Also didn't this season show Grace talking to an older woman who had an apartment where there is a hall closet (north of the elevator & would overlap the bedroom with the deep pink bedspread).

If I had the money I’d certainly recreate Halliwell Manor from Charmed

R17 there’s definitely a bathroom off the living space.

The Golden Girls one is wrong. It is going on the premise of what we saw in the pilot- that Blanche's room is where the lanai eventually ended up. Blanche's bedroom was down that too small hall with the other rooms.

I'll bet the original lanai was going to be right outside the living room to the right of the fireplace where, if you look quick, you could see tables and chairs.

I like to see the floorplans for both Odd Couple apts, the new I Love Lucy apt and mansion in CT, as well as the Leave it To Beaver homes
