Our hearts are heavy with grief as we extend our condolences to Greg’s beloved wife Peggy, his sons Christopher and Daniel, his daughter Nicole, and the entire circle of family and friends mourning this loss. Funeral details will be provided at a later time. Greg Mazur’s journey began in Antler, Saskatchewan, and unfolded on a small farm in southwestern Manitoba. In the 70s and 80s, he was a proud member of the Roblin Métis Association before relocating to British Columbia.

In the vibrant Métis community of BC, Greg became a dedicated and active participant in Métis politics, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape. Upon “retiring” to Kelowna with his wife Peggy in 2010, Greg remained committed to community service, playing a pivotal role in founding the Métis Association of Central Okanagan, where he served as President. His passion for Métis causes and his leadership were a testament to his unwavering dedication. Greg’s journey also intersected with the BC Métis Federation, where he became an integral part of the team for many years. His recent role as the Director of Industry Engagement showcased his commitment to advancing economic opportunities for Métis contractors and workers across the province, leaving a lasting impact on numerous Métis families.
