Here's what you need to know about his life and career.

Who is Peter Brant?

Peter Brant, 73, is a magazine publisher, film producer, and art collector.

He is the owner and chairman of New York-based Brant Publications, which he founded in 1984.

The company publishes a number of magazines including Interview, which was founded by artist Andy Warhol and journalist John Wilcock in 1969.

He is also the chairman of White Birch Paper, a paper manufacturer co-founded by his father.

He is reportedly among the world's Top 200 art collectors, and is one of the largest collector's of Warhol's art.

He also served as executive producer on Basquiat (1996) and Pollock (2000), biopic dramas about the lives of artists Jean-Michel Basquiat and Jackson Pollock.

How long has he been married to Stephanie Seymour?

Brant married Stephanie Seymour in 1995, when she was among the world's best known supermodels.

In 2009, Seymour filed for divorce after 14 years of marriage, but the couple reconciled the following year.

Between 1969 and 1995, Brant was also married to Sandra Simms.

The pair met while students at the University of Colorado.

How many children does he have?

Brant and Seymour have had three children together, Peter II, Harry, and Lilly Margaret.

On Sunday, Harry was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead from an accidental drug overdose.

He had reportedly fought a lengthy battle with addiction.

Brant also had five children with Simms, although one, Ryan Brant, died in 2019 after suffering a cardiac arrest.

What is Peter Brant's net worth?

Before the economic crash, Brant reportedly had a net worth of around $1.4billion.

However, in a 2007 court filing, he said that the events of that year, combined with the declining circulation of print media, had reduced his net worth to around $500million.

His worth is now estimated to be around $800million, though his art collection could make it considerably higher.
